Born in Barcelona in 2020, Somens is the deeply personal creation of Georgina Ripollès — a third-generation publicist, anthropologist at heart, and one of Spain's most prolific fragrance creators, with over 20 perfume brands and 164 fragrances to her name. Known in the fragrance world as "Gio L'Arôme," Georgina grew up surrounded by art, design, and creativity — the legacy of a family that pioneered advertising in Spain for generations.

After studying advertising and public relations at the University of Barcelona, Georgina lived and worked across different countries in Africa, where her fascination with anthropology, cultures, and the diversity of human experience deepened into something lifelong. That experience became Somens.

The name Somens reflects its mission: to explain our own origins — our evolution towards the person we are today — through the art of fragrance. Every bottle is a chapter. Every spray, a memory. Every scent, a story of people, places, childhood moments, and cultural journeys that shape who we are.
